The Garden of the Senses and of Biodiversity is the result of multi-faceted teamwork: social, through collaboration with associations and private citizens, and within the cooperative, as in the gardening and street furnishings areas, which worked together on the same project.
In the form of a five-petalled flower, and also including redevelopment of a small adjacent shredding plant, the Garden of the Senses is designed to be a sensory bioenergetic green space, a place that stimulates all five senses, in which every part of the garden is accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
A place of therapeutic value and social inclusion, environmental reclamation and promotion of biodiversity, to be appreciated by the entire community, including particularly fragile categories of citizens, in an outstanding example of urban regeneration

A stimulating, shared, participatory project in which collaboration with local associations and organisations once more represents an added value. For the cooperative, the project also represented an opportunity to work with experts in design, giving concrete form to the ideas of RP Studio. The result is a garden in which children can experience a new way of playing, using street furnishings made using natural elements that promote the idea of outdoor education and exploration of space, which becomes matter, refuge, adventure. The new Lab63 garden at Via Circonvallazione Levante 63 in Pieve di Cento opened on Thursday, 17 June. The space, produced thanks to a generous contribution from Nedda Alberghini, will become a new public place where children of all ages can experience a new way of playing. Street furnishings made out of natural elements promote the idea of outdoor education and exploration of space, which becomes matter, refuge, adventure.

Use of electric vehicles for cleaning the streets of the town centre

The urgent need to apply a new approach to the environment capable of having a positive impact on the territory and on people’s lives inspired the cooperative’s investment in new equipment. In 2016 we began the process of replacing a number of the vehicles used to clean the streets of the town centre, and we now have 6 electric Goupils and one hybrid machine: a small step in the direction of decreasing emissions of gases, fine particulate matter and fumes.
